Training schedule week of 2018 06 25
From Brandon Sensei
I hope that you will remain a part of this training community and turn to Kayla Sensei, and to the sempai who make Aikido of Berkeley such a rich ground for developing aikido skills. Please see her message below. Remember that Sensei is happy to receive for AiBerk dues whatever money you contribute to Free Aiki. She and Ozben Felek will join us for Dena's 6th kyu test at 7 a.m. this Wed., June 27th, and stay for a bit afterwards to talk. Please come. Wednesday mornings will most likely become a class taught by Ozben, which will be a lovely opportunity for everyone! Lisi Baldwin starts teaching adults on Saturdays 10-11:30 a.m. on July 28. I strongly urge you to learn all the wonderful things these mighty women have to teach.

Subject: Brandon Sensei’s goodbye celebration
It is with sadness and wanting to show enormous support that I write to you, inviting you to Brandon Sensei’s goodbye celebration. The Williamscraig family will be moving to Dallas, Texas, the first week of August. Let's send Brandon off with our love, support, and gratitude on Saturday, July 14th. Please join us for both his usual morning keiko (training at 10am) and the All Ages - Family Class (from 12-1pm) that he has so lovingly led for so long. We will begin the potluck part of our celebration at 1pm with live music and other festivities. Bring your favorite food and drink to share!
On the day or via PayPal (using email [email protected]) please make whatever donation you would like to to thank him for his many years of service, dedication to Peace Practices and pay-what-you-can training, and contribution to the growth of aikido around the world. Help him pay the many costs associated with moving, but don't let an inability to donate prevent you from training. Train no matter what.
Please speak to me personally about a surprise I’m planning for Brandon. Call (510) 776-4700 if you are not attending classes at the dojo where you can talk with me in person.
Brandon has trained at Aikido of Berkeley for twenty years. He has been there for me personally and for our dojo community through three relocations and a difficult divorce. Our dojo would not be what it is today without his generosity, intelligence and support.
