The office of Association Building Community is located in the collaborative arts space and performance venue, The Flight Deck in Downtown Oakland at 1540 Broadway, Oakland CA 94612.

Public Transportation

The Flight Deck is conveniently accessible by BART and bus including:

  • 19th Street and 12 Street BART stations (see dark blue circles on map below)
  • several AC Transit bus lines including #51 (see blue circle on map below)
  • the Free B Broadway Shuttle (see blue circle on map below)

 

Parking

Downtown Oakland has metered street parking as well as several parking lots (see orange squares on map below). After 9am, finding a spot (despite the great number of lots) can be time consuming. Please give yourself at least 30 minutes flexible time in case parking is difficult.

  • 14th-at-Clay Garage — Behind City Hall. City Hall's front entrance faces east onto Frank Ogawa Plaza, diagonally across from the Rotunda Building.
  • Garage on 14th between Clay and Broadway — Entrance on 14th St across from the south side of City Hall
  • Dalziel Garage — On 16th St between San Pablo Ave and Clay
  • Allbright Parking Garage — On 16th St between San Pablo Ave and Telegraph Ave.
  • Rotunda Garage – Between 16th and 17th streets and San Pablo and Telegraph

 

Driving Directions

 

From Concord/Walnut Creek to Downtown Oakland:

  • Take Hwy-24 West towards Oakland
  • Hwy-24W becomes I-980 W
  • Take the 18th Street exit
  • Turn Left onto 17th Street
  • Turn Right onto Broadway

From the Peninsula/San Francisco to Downtown Oakland:

  • Take I-80 East across the Bay Bridge towards Oakland
  • Take I-580 East towards Hwy-24/Downtown Oakland/Hayward/Stockton
  • Take I-980 towards Downtown Oakland
  • Take the 18th Street exit Turn Left onto 17th Street
  • Turn Right onto Broadway

From the North Bay to Downtown Oakland:

  • Take I-580 across Richmond/San Rafael Bridge
  • Take I-80 towards Oakland
  • Take I-580 East towards Hwy-24/Downtown Oakland/Hayward/Stockton
  • Take I-980 towards Downtown Oakland
  • Take the 18th Street exit
  • Turn Left onto 17th Street
  • Turn Right onto Broadway

From the South Bay to Downtown Oakland:

  • Take I-880 North towards Oakland
  • Take I-980 East towards Hwy-24/Walnut Creek
  • Take the 17th Street exit towards San Pablo Avenue
  • Turn Right onto 17th Street
  • Turn Right onto Broadway
