Ideas and Fictions

No headersFiction and Imagination are two ways of talking about the same process. To begin anything that is not yet within reach, much less to yearn with the mind and heart for that which will never be concrete, is to imagine creatively - to create a fiction that can hold both what is and is not literally real essays in the same frame of consciousness.
The challenge is to do so authentically, by which I mean in such a way that the integrity of the idea or projected hope is not compromised by agendas that don't belong.
ABC began with the fiction of Beamish Process Arts. The United States of America began with essential fictions that found a way into institution via a Constitution.
